To those who walked with us in prayer and encouragement...

Our hearts are so deeply broken, and our lives will never be the same. John was a happy, tender, kind, courageous and honorable husband, father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, friend…and so much more! He has always provided comfort to our family as well as plenty of fun and laughs. John truly loved being an officer, and he would do it all over again - with no regrets. We will miss him dearly until we see him again in Heaven. We know this world is not our home, but this pain still hurts incredibly deep to the core. Our family is broken, but we will rejoice in sweet precious memories and the assurance that John is beside the Lord who loves him more than we ever could. John loved and was dearly loved – that is his legacy we will carry. Throughout the past week of battles, victories, joys, trials and prayers, the loving kindness and support has been amazingly beautiful and has forever humbled our family. If acts of kindness and love could have saved him, he would undoubtedly still be here with us. We do not understand, but we will learn to accept. John was a good man who lived a good life, so we consider our family blessed. He will continue to forever warm our heart and souls.

Announcement from the Sheriff's Office

2nd Blood Drive Held in Honor of Deputy John Norsworthy:

Due to the overwhelming response the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is now holding a second blood drive in honor of critically injured Deputy John Norsworthy here at the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, 1410 Williams Way Blvd., Richmond, Thursday, Deceber 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Anyone 17 years of age and older is asked to help support Deputy Norsworthy; in critical condition as of early this morning.

    Thanks for the updates as we continue to pray for John, Melissa, their children, Donna & David and you, Bridget and your sweet family. We love all of you. Last night it was wonderful to see the support that you all are being given. I am thrilled that we can trust God with John's recovery process.

    Dear friend,
    I have offered my prayers for your family. I am wanting to donate blood for this officers cause, as my blood type is also O. More importantly, Im praying that this officers eternal life is without question. I pray he has already found eternal salvation by the blood of our King,Christ Jesus. If where he will spend eternal life is in question, I pray my Lords will leads you to HIM. His will is that none should perish but that all come unto repentance. May God hold you, help you and heal you for His glory. In Jesus name...

    Bridget...Tammy and me continue to lift John, Melissa, and all you guys in our prayers. I am honored to have a really cool cousin who sacrifices so much to protect. We would love to be there with all of you...but know that mom and your grandmother certainly have everything under control :-) Thanks for the updates. We'll talk to you soon.
